The CAD M179 is a side-address multi-pattern condenser microphone that offers exceptional performance. It features dual, gold-sputtered 1.1-inch diaphragms and supports a frequency response range of 10Hz to 20kHz. The M179 is a fantastic value whose un-hyped response makes it a natural for recording a wide variety of sources. Voice, acoustic instruments, and even close mic'ed drums are all in the M179's wheelhouse.

Design Features
Its design incorporates a variable pattern control dial, which allows you to select your preferred pattern between cardioid, omni-directional, and Figure 8. Also included is a 20dB pad switch as well as a high-pass filter switch. In order to operate, the M179 needs 24V or 48V phantom power.
