Since the previous drop a review of this set has been put up on Amazon, and it's not a happy one. The reviewer complains that the knives received were different from the photo shown on Amazon (the same photo is used here on Massdrop). There's a photo of the knives received by the reviewer and it looks like the integral copper bolsters and end-caps shown in the marketing photos have been replaced by simple black ferrules and black end-caps:

I wonder whether knives purchased from the drop here will match the marketing photos or the reviewer's photo?

Can you still sharpen these knives , or does the colour fade away?

tharkI doubt the copper finish would prevent you from sharpening the knives, but you'll probably loose the copper colour on the edge bevel.
