Just thought I'd let you folks know, I'm pretty happy with these poles. The adjustment knob makes setting the tension a breeze. Depressing the clip to retract the poles is a bit tough if your fingers are at all shaky from a brisk pace, but nothing a moments rest doesn't solve.
The foam handles are a bit thinner and harder then my cheap poles. That's going to take some getting used to. The hand straps are somewhat more coarse too, as I could feel them abrading the backs of my hands, but that may mean they're made of more durable material. (or I just need to man up my desk-jockey hands?) A few adjustments during the next few uses and I'll have everything ready for a long weekend.
If the included pocket bag were maybe 2" longer, I could stow the poles without retracting the adjustment at all. As it is now, the handles stick out an inch or so with the bag cinched up. Not a big deal, just something to note.
The poles came with a few elastic bands, as well as a velcro band. The elastic are more trouble than they're worth, and have to be stretched to their limit to fit over the poles. I'd rather have had a few more of the velcro bands. It is really nice to have something to keep the poles from getting tangled in the pocket bag (think tentpoles), so I'll probably just cut off a length of bulk cable organizer velcro and use that instead.

becalmerillAlso, I set the poles to 127 and they're perfect, and I'm 6'7". I was a bit worried I'd have to go all the way to the top, but there's plenty to spare. I'm also very happy these break down small enough to toss in my roll-top backpack while I'm climbing rockier, more vertical sections of the trail.
