Hi there, if it possible try audeze isine10 or isine20 before jump on this. I own isine20 and Lyra II at the price 599 and 699. ofcoure I didn't buy it from massdrop. isine20 blow me away every aspect over Lyra II. isine has the airy sound most like full size headphone. Bass is punchy and hit hard. Larger soundstage and sweet midrange. High is not as good as Lyra but not fatiguing. Also the imaging is not bad. That doesn't mean that Lyra II sound bad. It sound just compact to me compare to isine. Of course isine has weird fitting which some may like or some may not like . So once it pass fitting problem than you'll know what isine capable of!

khaja-724612I'm sorry but they look, and feel, absolutely silly. The sound quality isn't awe-inspiring enough to justify walking around in public wearing those stupid things. No thanks.

crrccDon't need to be sorry. You are absolutely right you can't use it in public because its an open back headphone.

khaja-724612I mean, sound leakage isn't my top concern with public use, they just look too stupid to wear.

crrccI wear my isine 20s out in public sometimes. Sure they look a little weird but it is worth it for the sound that you get. Plus who cares what others think? And yes the sound quality is indeed awe inspiring enough. They are in a word amazing. Hoping the Lyra's are great as well. Excited to get them.

faithguy19To each their own, but I disagree that the sound quality makes up for how utterly stupid they look. It isn't just what other people think, it's about personal comfort and confidence over function sometimes, for example, a sombrero is better at blocking out the sun than a baseball cap, but I'm not about to wear one to the park.

crrccFair enough. Ultimately, you have to decide what is most important for you. Sound or looks/design/function. Hard to argue with the sound on the isines though. They are in another league.
