I own Campfire Audio Jupiters and love them. I also wanted to get their Vega model but they're a bit bright for my ears. I have trouble with really high frequencies. The Dorado, same issue. Auditioned the Lyra II and they are perfect. Smooth and warm with a great high end without pushing past what my ears can take. Looking forward to getting them.

KimmerOI picked up a pair of Jupiter b-stock several weeks back and love them as well. They opened the door for me to how good IEMs can actually sound. I'm resisting like crazy to jump on this drop.

ClifakI picked up the Lyra II from a previous drop, after getting the Jupiter about a month before. The Lyra II offers a warmer smoother presentation, but I find myself going back to the Jupiter. The Jupiter offers clarity & resolution, while the Lyra II offers more bass, with the mids taking center stage. It's not a rumbling resolving bass, but tight & controlled. I'm just enjoying the soundstage & clarity of the Jupiter so much more though. Also, I have fit issues with the Lyra II. The only portion of these IEMs that make physical contact with my ears are the nozzles & the over ear memory cable. I prefer IEMs that "fill" my ears if you know what I mean. My next IEM in the Campfire lineup would most likely be the Andromeda.

kevinh I definitely prefer the Jupiter for its resolution, clarity & soundstage. I thought the Lyra II would be a nice complement, but I find myself going back to the Jupiter time & again. They are my daily set. I can't recommend them enough. You can pick up a pair of b-stock Jupiters for $549 on ALO Audio's page - https://aloaudio.deals/

kevinhThe Lyras are smaller and sit deeper in my ear. The Jupiters seem like they need to get in just a bit further but can't. It's probably my head and not the IEMs. I haven't done a grest test or comparison but love the feel of the Lyra and really think they have a better sound. The Jupiters really pack a punch. I've had to back off on the audio level with those. But again, the Lyra are a bit smaller and they feel beeter in my ears.

rantngThanks for the comparison. I like everything about the Jupiters except their sensitivity. They hiss out of almost everything, especially if I use balanced. I bought an iBasso PB3 amp to use with my FiiO X5iii because the FiiO has a lot of hiss on SE and balanced, but it hisses out of balanced on the PB3 too(SE is quite black though so that's a relief). I tried another DAP, the XDP-30R which doesn't hiss but I don't love the sound. It also has a hard time staying connected to wifi. Oh, and I tried an iEMatch which eliminates hiss on everything but does something weird to the body of the sound, makes it thin imo.

ClifakI haven't noticed any hiss with Jupiter when paired with Onkyo dp-x1 (single-ended or balanced) or chord Mojo. I noticed the hiss when I paired Jupiter with Opus #1.

RM44Yeah, it doesn't hiss with the XDP-30R which is the Pioneer sibling to the DP-S1(essentially a mini DP-X1). I didn't care for the sound of the 30R too much but it does have system-wide EQ so maybe it's worth looking at the DP-X1. I thought about going all in and dishing out some cash for the Sony WM1A but I find it hard to justify spending that much on something I'll occasionally use.

ClifakThe onkyo dp-x1 new can be had for $485 at amazon and used ones in mint condition can be had $400 or less. So it's worth looking into. The onkyo has a very black background and Jupiter goes to party producing very good sound with no noise that I could hear. Those two play well with each other. Campfire Audio have done a good job with the build and sound quality of Jupiter. At $500-$550 for the B-stock, it is definitely a good buy. It might show some heat in the trebles on some tracks, but overall it is very nice across all frequencies and not losing the slam in the bass areas when needed.

KimmerODo you think these have a good low end and mids?! I've read the Vega might be best for someone like me who wants warm, smooth and decent low end (kind of a basshead here :). I keep wanting to try them especially since CA moved to dynamic drivers in some of their IEMs.
For reference: I really dig the sound of the Flare R2a, JVC 850 Woodies, OG Fostex TH-X00, Senn Momentums, Sony MDR-1a.

mayorblurpsThat's hard to say. I've talked to a few people and read some reviews about the vegas. I was ready to get them but after conversations with campfire, I'm going for Lyra. Plus, just because they are the most expensive in the flagship 3, that doesn't make them the best. That all being said, I wouldn't mind having them, the Vega, around as an option. It's not off my radar. Just editing for a better price. Almost bought a pair on the eBay but missed out. I'mll be thrilled with the Lyra and can not wait to see how they sound with my Continental v5 amp.

mayorblurpsVegas are really really dynamic sounding, I really don't know how else to say it. However at the cost of harsh treble which personally was why I went with the Lyra which is better suited for long listening sessions; even though the Vega is overall cleaner and has better low and high extension.

ZiadaxThanks for the info! Maybe it's the most expensive one I'm thinking of? ...I honestly cannot remember. Either way I'm leaning hard towards the Lyra II just because I'd like to see what Campfire has done and it seems this is the lowest cost of entry for their DDs. Just do not want completely flat sounding IEMs or ones with super bright treble as my ears are sensitive to treble. Time to do research

mayorblurpsLyra has a darker signature than Jupiter, and even Jupiter is warmer than the Andromeda. Vega is an relentless barrage of sound which is great for short listening sessions, with EQ you may be able to make it. Its a really in your face type sound. Additionally I don't think $1300 is worth it at all for the Vega, the ex1000 and ex800/7550's SQ is very close to it they cost almost $900 less. Lyra 2's sound signature is bass and mids orientated, like a XXx type signature with rolled back highs that are suitable for long listening. I think you'll like them at the $500 asking price.

mayorblurpsThe bass in Vega, with foam tips, has a very solid and tight punch to it. I listen to mine about 6-10hrs/day.
