How long does it take to get a response from 'customer service'? Would love to be able to charge my battery one day.

The EOS is the European version... All you need is the proper cord to fit into the charger. I got one at Mike's Camera for $5.00 when I went in to get some SD cards.

Fantastic camera body. My preferred for hiking/backpacking and to keep on my "just in case" a great photo opportunity presents itself. So small and light that there's no reason not to pack it. The kit lens is surprisingly good, but this body with the EF-S 24mm 2.8 pancake lens (only ~$120) make an amazingly small/light package that's capable of capturing top quality images. Anything less would be a more significant compromise (mirrorless, 4/3rds, etc.) in image quality, but not this guy.
Makes a great first or 2nd or 3rd camera body. A first one because it's great and affordable, and will still be useful after upgrading. A great 2nd or 3rd body if you want something more portable to take when you wouldn't lug your big full-frame body around.

i had to google what the 100D was, so here is what it said:
"The Canon EOS 100D, known as the EOS Rebel SL1 in the Americas and EOS Kiss X7 in Japan, is an 18.0-megapixel digital single-lens reflex camera announced by Canon on 21 March 2013. It has been described as the "world's smallest and lightest DSLR camera", either currently in production or in the APS-C format."
So all the 100D is, is a rebranded Sl1 and again after googleing its only about $60 cheaper before tax and shipping and everything, and itll take way too long to shop up with typical massdrop fashion. So its up to you if about $30 is worth saving getting it from massdrop. You could get an ND filter for your lens if you decided to save the money, or a really cheap tripod. But again its up to you.

Muck_FachineI'd go against cheap tripods. Last thing you want to do is buy one that doesn't last or breaks on you. That being said I started with one so if you're desperate they are an option.

I'm in the market for this very camera. Currently Canon has the U.S. spec refurbished (same kit) for $329. I would jump on this if the price were a little better.
