Really like this lens. Paid $1k a year ago and would do it again. Where it excels is in offering a very useful zoom range in a relatively compact and lightweight package that other lenses can't match. Fits with a 6D in my Kata holster very nicely.

What exactly does "This is a White Box Lens" mean as stated on the product's description notes?

SupersportIt means they take it out of a bundle that includes a camera and the lens itself, resulting in the lens being cheaper through a discount on the original bundle. The lenses in bundle boxes usually just come in a plain white box, hence the name.
