Hey Everyone,
Hopefully this is another neat camera drop you guys will be interested in as we had quite a few polls and discussion posts requesting this lens. This is definitely a bigger ticket item, but since you guys voted for it we found a vendor with a rather compelling price to offer our members.
Please let me know what you think as I'm rather green when it comes to this particular community. What do you guys thinks about this product? What other lenses and products should I be focused on sourcing? Thanks in advance for all of your feedback!

Danny_LiuI appreciate the lens drop and your effort. Honestly what I am looking for these days would be some prime lenses over the zooms. Prime means a fixed focal length, so say a 70mm or 200mm lens as opposed to one that goes through both, prime lenses can and most often do produce much better results. That being said Canon lenses are great, I like the "L" series lenses better than the others and would definitely get down on a non-zoom drop. preferably something really wide-angle or something telephoto. Below are 4 reasonably priced high quality lenses that I would love to see at a more reasonable price. Thanks again and keep up the good work

Danny_LiuA Nikon equivalent would be great :) Further more... there is a list of items I think people would want :
1. Tamron 24-70 F2.8 2. Nikon 70-200 F4 / F2.8 VR (vote?) 3. Nikon SB-910 (With CLS you can always use another strobe to get more creative) 4. Kenko 1.4 teleconverter 5. Nikon 300mm F4 PF (the new lens:) )

Danny_Liu@Danny, definitely enjoy seeing more photo related drops on here, and really appreciate the effort. Few points though:
Massdrop isn't on Canon's authorized dealer list (http://www.usa.canon.com/app/pdf/dealer/CanonAuthorizedDealers.pdf) so technically, they could refuse any warranty service. If there was a SIGNIFICANT savings, it might be worth the risk. At a $50 difference over full retail (after the current rebate), it's not worth it.
For those of us in CA being charged tax and shipping, it's even worse: this drop works out to be a $0.26 savings over B&H, Adorama, etc. (And that's before the 2% store kickback.)
Barring any shipping issues or lemon replacements, all warranty service/replacement would be fulfilled by Canon, so no service advantage going through Massdrop.
Even if this drop was a big savings or unique item, waiting a month to get the product still seems slow to me. I could order from B&H and have it on my doorstep across the country in four days.
As for other photog gear? Thinktank bags, Yongnuo or Godox flashes, memory cards, and other lenses would be welcome. The new Sigma "Art" and "Sports" lineups are great, and you could offer a drop in multiple camera mounts for the Canon/Nikon/Sony/Sigma crowds.
