It looks like we will not be able to offer the Body only this time because changing a live drop produces numerous challenges that negatively effect everyone in the drop.
I can tell you that when we do this drop again it will be with Body +Lens and Body only options. Please press the request button once this drop ends and we will notify you by email the day it goes live again.
Cheers!
For comparison's sake, US customers can get the US version lesser lens kit pair with the 80D for about $1300 before local sales tax at COSTCO. If COSTCO sold this kit in stores, I'd already have it. The 80D doesn't seem to show up on used sites right now, even with the newer 90D (???) coming out and seemingly bumping this body.
is in reality only $43.25 off market price. $1199 for boxy + $499 for lens. I have an 80D. it's a fantastic camera! Far better than 70D. I close step up from a T6s, which I also own.
Charlesb70Yes it does. Dual pixel autofocus. Works really well, except in low light it begins to hunt. I imagine a firmware update will fix it in the future, as the 70d doesn't have that issue. But I'm loving the camera. It's dynamic range is very impressive, much better than the 70D.
brandongoransonBetter AF and dynamic range. Controls and ergonomics are similar. Additionally, the 80 has a mic & headphone jack for listening to audio in the field.
