Is there any hope that the 18–135mm lens could be an option on this drop? Or a body only option? I want this camera, and the deal seems legit, but I don't need this 18-55mm lens....
I agree with some of the comments about what a poor deal this is.
Even better than eBay: just go to the official USA Canon website. I bought for my son a refurbished one with lens (18-55 mm) and 1 year Canon warranty for about $758 (shipping and tax included). BTW, it was tagged refurbished but, if ever used, it was impossible to distinguish from a brand new one.
RosiebarFirst off, I wrote that comment a while ago, look at the date, second, I am willing to bet that, knowing how often canon's stuff goes on sale there will be another one, soon. Not sure whether you realize it or not but Massdrop's prices aren't as great as they try to make us believe they are.
If you are to get an authorized Canon repair, you are going to need an Authorized Canon Dealer receipt. That's the ONLY way Canon will provide a warranty repair. I think it is misleading to "offer" a 1 yr Canon Warranty without the dealer receipt. MassDrop isn't offering anything valid without the receipt. I've been waiting 5 days now for my valid dealer receipt... if they were that "available" it should be here by now.
Jaysun,
I have not received a response regarding my question of what Massdrop has done for the poster that had an issue with his Canon warranty, and what Massdrop will do in future drops to prevent such issues. Please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Between this and the Fujifilm X-T20, which one should I get? I'm just a casual user looking to take memorable pictures from my honeymoon trip to Italy this Summer. Price isn't the most important issue -- I want to make sure I get the right camera.
