fking great guy! :D
Common guys need 2 more for the lowest price!
I was hoping for a body only option for this camera. You can buy the refurbished, body only version from canon's website for $549.99 and if you're going to buy a different lens (I would recommend it) then you might as well buy it from canon. If you're looking to get the kit lens this is a good deal though.

ah okay. Congrats! It's a fantastic camera. I have the T6s model and I love it.
I missed this drop but does anyone mind filling me in on the price this camera got down to?

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Canon EOS Rebel T6i DSLR w/EF-S 18-55mm Kit and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.

As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 9/14.

We will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 9/9.

is this in Australian dollars
You can get this for 629 on Canon's refurbished site. That's what I did.

AND you get the 75-300mm lens
I have this camera following my old though at the time barely used T5i. Nevertheless, the T6i's new features were very attractive, particularly the WiFi functions. I wish they would improve it to make it work like a wireless intervalometer but it's still useful. I'm just a beginner, and I've really enjoyed using these Rebels. Bought them with the 18-55mm kit lens, and bought a 70-300mm and a 50mm lens separately, but also have rented a few lenses. You can see the types of images I've gotten with it on Instagram (T6i are most of the recent ones) jjtoob
As some people have noted, the sale price across major retailers is $749 (Amazon, B&H Photo Video, Best Buy, Frys, and Microcenter).

Best Buy also has the T6i w/ 18-55mm Video Creator Kit at $799.

This drop is pretty much worth it as it is priced at $689 before shipping and tax with the possibility of dropping another $10 for $679. That is significantly cheaper than what major retailers are pricing at (and most likely what Canon officially allows).

The only camera Canon offers that is close to this drop price is the Rebel T5i with 18-55mm at $649 (MSRP $799). I definitely believe it worth it to choose the step up to the T6i with an extra $20-$30 depending on the final drop price.

With immense sales across major retailers, this is reflective of Canon heavily promoting the Rebel line across the years and decades. Also, with the gaping and noticeable absence of other major brand advertisements across the retail section, Canon has dominated advertisements. It is very evident if you were to open up a Best Buy weekly ad. In conclusion, you will definitely not find this price in any other major retailer.
