As some people have noted, the sale price across major retailers is $749 (Amazon, B&H Photo Video, Best Buy, Frys, and Microcenter).
Best Buy also has the T6i w/ 18-55mm Video Creator Kit at $799.
This drop is pretty much worth it as it is priced at $689 before shipping and tax with the possibility of dropping another $10 for $679. That is significantly cheaper than what major retailers are pricing at (and most likely what Canon officially allows).
The only camera Canon offers that is close to this drop price is the Rebel T5i with 18-55mm at $649 (MSRP $799). I definitely believe it worth it to choose the step up to the T6i with an extra $20-$30 depending on the final drop price.
With immense sales across major retailers, this is reflective of Canon heavily promoting the Rebel line across the years and decades. Also, with the gaping and noticeable absence of other major brand advertisements across the retail section, Canon has dominated advertisements. It is very evident if you were to open up a Best Buy weekly ad. In conclusion, you will definitely not find this price in any other major retailer.
