ezone50I didnt get a manual either. You can change the language to english in the camera. Just use google translate on your phone with the camera feature. All this was as expected though. The major bummer for me is that my camera was silver even though I selected black as the color.
ezone50Got mine and same thing. Missing serial number stick (hand written instead), no manual, no protective adhedsive on LCD, and loosely packed with a used international power adapter. Definitely feels and looks refurbished.
ezone50All International Spec cameras come opened because they have to replace the power cord with one that is US capable. The foreign manual is taken out 99% of the time because it is not in English.
Here is an article that lists shutter count software utilities to see if any Canon EOS camera is used (beyond the normal testing that every camera goes through):

ezone50I literally was just coming on here to state I got a refurb with a written bs serial number and missing garbage. Also the setup had already been gone through and was in a different language as well which I was able to get back into english but I still would have never bought this for new price if I knew it was a refurb.
GamrCreedThis was an International Spec Camera and as such is typically going to have a setup that is not in English but I am glad you were able to figure that out.
" I got a refurb with a written bs serial number and missing garbage. " What exactly are you missing and why do you feel this is a refurb?
