Hi CT, I recently got the Quicky Magnetic Tactical Belt. I love it, but the buckle is just a bit too large for most loops and requires a lot of work to get it in or out of the loops on all of my pants/shorts. Do you think the CobraStrap would fare better in this regard? It's hard to tell, but the pictures make it seem like it's a tad smaller than the Mag buckle. Cheers to a great product btw, this thing is awesome!
brodie7838@brodie7838 They're very similar in size actually, so I don't think either one has much of an advantage in that regard. Thanks for the feedback! Glad to hear you're liking the Quicky :)

CarbonTacticsI've got the exact problem as Brodie does. My Quicky doesn't fit through anything! Very frustrating!
Can y'all give the actual dimensions of the buckle in the description? Probably be wise to remove that whole line about "And at 1.5 inches wide, the strap is slightly smaller than most tactical belts, so you can wear it with any pair of pants." You're giving the perception that the entire system will fit through any pair of pants, not JUST the belt. Most people aren't accustomed to having to take apart their belt to wear it I'd imagine.
Mootz901@Mootz901 Thanks for the feedback! I will ask the massdrop folks to add the buckle dimensions. The common practice is to thread the strap though your belt loops first, and then through the buckle (no need to disconnect the buckle and risk loosing it). Some jeans and tac pants will allow the buckle to pass through, but it seems the newer style is to have really skinny loops on men's jeans, not sure why. Most tactical belts actually use a larger buckle than this one.

Mootz901I used to wear an issued Army rigger's belt. When I put it on, I thread the belt through the loops, and then onto the buckle. When I put on this one I do the same. (Leaving the male end connected tot he female until the belt is threaded on.) The only differences are: 1) I thread the webbing back the direction it came, and 2) for the rest of the day (or in my case week) I can disconnect the buckle, and take off my trousers without worrying that the weight of my Leatherman, keys or anything else is going to pull the belt out of place.
