Bought my Ti Hook belt during Carbon Tactics' Kickstarter campaign, and can say that I personally like it a lot better than my CTi belt (both in wolf grey & titanium). The new hook design is quite weird, but actually works very well. The nylon material feels slightly more rigid than the CTi and doesn't seem to bow outward quite as bad when sitting (with gear attached). The new wolf grey is now a nice shade that actually resembles grey, and not the very dark charcoal (almost black) that the CTi had. The hook buckle is easy to attach to the loop and just a little more difficult to remove, which is likely a good thing. The overall fit and finish of both the nylon belt and Ti hook are top notch, as was the CTi (sewing, machining, etc). Haven't experienced any sliding at all, that wasn't intentional (usually make the belt tighter when I take my IWB gear off at home), like some others have mentioned. The $55 price I paid during the KS campaign (and about the same through MD) seems fair enough, and definitely more reasonable than the nearly $70 I paid for the CTi. Still haven't tried opening a bottle with the hook, but still kinda wonder if that would work in a pinch.
Think my only two minor issues with this belt are solely due to the design itself, and something that I was aware of before purchasing. Firstly, the double-back and sewn loop is thicker than most belts and makes it somewhat difficult to blindly thread and squeeze through the 1.75" opening on the "soft loop" of my gear (got used to doing it fairly quickly after a few weeks). Secondly, with my old CTi, I could easily leave my gear attached and secured when needing to loosen the belt for any reason, but with the Ti Hook, it is much more difficult to just loosen the belt slightly while still hooked, and unhooking will obviously not keep the gear supported safely. Both of these issues are simply inherent with this particular design, and just something to be aware of. In addition, I'm also not particular fond of the text stamping on the front.. the CT logo and just the tiny Ti logo would have been more than enough, but honestly, it's really not that noticeable, just kinda dumb (no one should be reading my damn belt, lol).
Overall, another great product from Carbon Tactics, and imo a very nice improvement over the orignal CTi belt.
