If you price these elsewhere, the drop works out to be about 50% (or less) cheaper than retail! Cardas makes exceptional cables. I expect these will be no different.

audioadvocateIf you'll look carefully you will see a better versions of Cardas headphone cables for a much cheaper price from independent cable builders that are buying spools from Cardas. With better connectors as well..

LIBY555I haven't done the due diligence recently to search them out, but I'll search a bit. I get a bit hesitant with independents... a few years ago, I got burned by a guy who was independent, and who was using Kimber cabling for me in a complex crossover re-wire/recapping and ran things out-of-phase. He disappeared in a few months and I had no recourse. But thanks for the suggestion...I haven't done much of a search in a while.

PirateIceOther than china most guys that get into this business are long time audiophiles and not only doing it as a job. These guys usually using high-grade solder wire, using top notch equipment, and make their cables at a "audiophile-grade" levels, because they know the importance of those things for audiophiles that are paying a lot of money to get the absolute best. I take them over any 60yo women and man that have no real interest in audio and that are making cables like robots. NO OFFENCE.

LIBY555Seems like an insult when you say people in audio for most their lives have no interest and make it like robots when they actually come here and speak like humans. But this is me asking you to state what evidence you have, hrm? I wasn't insulting or saying theres a problem with independent makers, what I was trying to get across is that you should actually find out about any maker you use before you assume these... " guys usually using high-grade solder wire, using top notch equipment, and make their cables at a "audiophile-grade" levels" just on flat assumption, and think then it'd be better than cardas. I've never heard any audiophile describe cardas as you do LIBY555, any reason you did?
