I'm not in the market for this, but it seems to me that having a naked circuit board is risking exposure to dust, groping fingers and other hazards.
If I wanted one, I'd want it to come with some sort of protective cover.

SennapodTeeI understand your concern... However this is a new piece of tech in market for developers... An open-source tech that allows developer to play around with ... a Protective cover would later be designed around it to match it's intended use ... But for now it is just a toy to play around with ... Just like any microcontroller in the market.

GasimmsThis comment highlights my biggest fear about this project. It's 'just a toy' that connects to a 2000 lb machine which is capable of killing both the occupants and innocent bystanders. There is no where near enough safety or thought put into this product. The main photo shows that GND is directly next to CAN-H with no protection -- meaning that it would be dreadfully simple to short out the CAN bus. Cute toy, but the inventors should be held personally responsible for any injury or death resulting from negligent use of this product.
