I see Carlos Santos shoes on Saks off Fifth for $220, they often have $30 off and free shipping coupons, and sometimes even more off for sales. This shoe looks the same as the one on the Saks site so I am asking what is the difference, what makes this shoe worth more and also the waiting. If I order on Saks off Fifth I will have it in a few days and it still comes with the shoe bags and the shoehorn. What am I missing?

I see thanks, it is more these (from MD) are more of a custom makeup and color combo that is not generally available to the general public at a retail store. More like a limited production run kinda like a GMTO.

Just a heads up on sizing, from leaves @ Skoak
Carlos Santos lasts Patrik (@Leaves)
Carlos Santos - 234: UK 11 Generous last with plenty room across the instep, great arch support. For me it fits very close to Carmina Rain, maybe a hair wider. Honestly one of the most comfortable RTW lasts I’ve tried. Carlos Santos - 160: UK 11 Also a quite generous last despite the sleek look. A bit more narrow than the 234 last and Carmina Rain. Carlos Santos - 187: UK 11.5 I had to size up half a size from 234 and 160. Still, not an optimal fit for my wide-ish feet. It's slim but not as slim as Carmina Simpson (which I have a problem even getting into). It's however longer than Simpson. Not an optimal last if you have a wide foot or high instep. Better for people with slim to normal width feet.

djaungFor what it's worth, I am a 10 D US in Allen Edmonds 65 and 511 last and a 9 UK on Carmina's Soller last. I just purchased a Carlos Santos derby boot on the 234 last in size 9 UK. I can concur that it is very generous in the toe box, length and volume. While it still feels good and fits with thin to medium dress socks, I get a better, near perfect fit with thicker boot socks. Since it's a boot, it's perfect. But if it were a derby shoe, I would most likely size down 1/2 to an 8.5 UK to get a more snug fit with dress socks and I've seen a few other people with similar responses. Hope this helps some people as I would most likely choose a 9 UK in these if I buy them.

Found a typo on the size selecting drop-down bar. UK6.5/UK7.5 I am US7.5 and was part of the Carmina drop. So, before joining this one, wants to make everything clear.

whooahThanks for the flag on this. That was a typo on our end. Sorry for the inconvenience. Should be fixed and read 'UK 6.5/US 7.5' now.

zlinI really like the Taupe actually and am considering jumping on this. I own the Guimaraes color already in a boot and it's outstanding. Similar to a dark chili from Allen Edmonds with a bit more darker brown burnishing throughout.
