Founded in 1956, Carrera takes its name from the Carrera Panamericana: a border-to-border sedan and sports car race in Mexico. The company started out making motorcycle goggles and other sports accessories, later focusing its lineup on more fashion-minded sunglasses and optical eyewear. Lightweight and durable, these shades are made with memory metal, which is more flexible than regular metal and better equipped to retain its shape. The full-rim double-bridge frame is fitted with polarized lenses for sun protection and reduced glare.
