I only gave a little more than this for an atomic solar model.
As a previous poster mentioned; they're set on the atomic clock and solar charged. That's a no-brainer.
This watch in the Drop is a "pass."

FLHRTotally agree, I have owned the atomic solar model for 8+ years. Although not totally maintenance free, rechargeable battery has to be replaced around 6-8 years($30), it is the quintessential blue collar watch. It is the watch Navy Seal teams wear, nuff said. Massdrop has this annoying habit of incremental "buying/upgrades", PASS........

Having been wearing a similar watch for almost a decade, the best models seem to be the solar atomic watches with a metal band. The solar feature keeps the battery charged indefinitely, the atomic feature keeps the correct time to the second indefinitely, and the metal band has been very durable. The resin bands only last for about two years on my wrist.

Changing the batteries on these can be a PITA the first few times, especially if you have large fingers.

UngaNothing. These are not $250 g-shocks. Look up a $250 g-shock and see what you get.

Hmm, I'd like to see a couple of their 'Tough Solar' models. When I went to get the battery replaced for my old G-Shock watches in the past, they always managed to screw up the watertight seal.

foRiReIt's an O-Ring. That is something that is almost universally used to keep out water. Simply screwing two pieces of metal together does not keep out water. Capillary action ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capillary_action ) will pull the water along the threads.
