Babysoysauceg-shock always mineral. sapphire is scratch proof, but easier to shatter.

BabysoysauceThat's incorrect. Sapphire is stronger in every way. Not completely shatterproof but definitely the best for a watch. Not trying to be combative in any way. Mineral glass is okay though.

needhelpYou have quoted the first observation of a layperson on a watch forum. Even if you continue reading that thread, you will see that person is clearly not informed. For clarity, I'm a qualified mining engineer and mineral surveyor. Sapphire is tougher in every way than mineral based glass. Diamond would be about the only thing that could be tougher both to impact and scratch damage.
