CatEye Volt500 XC & Rapid X2 Light Combo Kit

why would they avoid listing the output on the rear light ... unless it was anemic?

I looked at the volt 200 previously and I believe the volt 500 is the same. The battery is not removable or replaceable. So after 300 or so charges when the battery is getting weaker/dead, the whole unit it throw away. For the 700 and 800 models there is a upgradeable battery, but its nearly as much as a new light. If you are like me and commute 300+ days a year, this will barely make it past it's 2 year warranty before it is junk. I have a 4 or so year old cateye that takes 4AA's and it's still pumping out 1 watt of led goodness. These new throw away lights are very wasteful in my opinion.
