From the design mind of Alexander Shorokhoff comes the CCCP Black Sea. Featuring sandwiched, lumed markers; a large numeral 12 at due north on the dial, and a colored seconds hand, the Black Sea makes a statement Read More
You surely are aware that "CCCP" ((in Latin alphabet: SSSR) stands for "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics"
Are you aware that CCCP was a murderous empire?
UH oh. a "Russian" designed/looking watch with a Japnese movement from a "Russian" designer that is now owned by a Chinese company? Geez, how gullible the club buyer has become...
I received one that does not work. Anyone who have the same experience and/or have any idea on how to get an answer out of the CCCPs “customer support”. E.g a telephone number or e-mail to the management.
PillemausarenHey, that Kamasu Orient is value for money right now. I to have had two refunds from Drop; they eventually do the right thing. Probably better than buying from god knows who in internet land.
i'd get this in a minute, plus a number of the other kashalot diver style. the problemsky with them both is no lume on revolving bezel, making this a non-fully functional timer watch for many of us who use it in the dark. as for the other kashalots with an outer bezel, i easily would have purchased one of them and added a dot/pip of waterproof lume paint, but on those the unidirectional bezel is 90 clicks instead of 60 or 120. i had a great watch with the problem of a 90 click bezel and it would never line up right at '12', or most of the rest of the dial. it's unfortunate to see a superbly aesthetically designed watch belie bad design practically by a bush league bezel. as for this watch, it's smooth turning so i can't fault the design, as many people don't care about lume on the bezel, but it would've been a much better design had they had that. i'd have paid the going $200 price at places other than drop for that. but if you don't care about timing in the dark, you can't beat this price.
johnnyjohnnyBut that's what Russian stuff is like :) I used to have a russian bike - full of character (I'm laughing). I found it in a river without a carburettor. We put a suzuki 125 dirt bike carb on it (it was a 175). It was insane - couldn't get it off the rear wheel.
Kizerunderstood to some extent, but this is not really 'russian'...it's using a russian movement and adornment from back in the ussr. while true russian/soviet stuff was rudimentary, it was never wrong. prime example being their bezels...bidirectional with no rachets, but at least it wasn't 90 clicks. 90 clicks is wrong, i've had them, they're a mistake. i do respect what you've said, but there is a difference between something that is raw or rudimentary for economy's sake, and something which is just made wrong. best.
