I had similar question. I use the 702. I read that the 1 ohm (lower impedance) at the amp output is helpful for keeping a 'flat' frequency response... or in other words it is better for accurately passing along the DAC output without the amp 'flavoring' the output. CEntrance please clarify if I didn't interpret the post on their forums correctly.

The 1 ohm output is avoid the damping factor on low impedance headphones. K702 has an impedance of 62 ohms and you usually aim to have an output impedance of 8 times the amp's output impedance so 8 * 1 ohm = 8 ohm so the minimum impedance headphone to use with this amp would be 8 ohm. You will both need this upgrade (Shazraf and cynerjist).

By that logic then, the 10 ohms should be used to drive headphones of 8*10 ohms = 80 ohms. The K702, as you've stated, has 62 ohms... So technically, the 1 ohm output might be beneficial for it. Though this is subjective, sometimes, headphones improve with additional output impedance.
Also note that the change in sound due to output impedance is dependent on the characteristics of the impedance curve of the headphone. For example, Planars shouldn't change too much with more output impedance.
I'm curious if the changed output impedance changed the sound of the amp itself...

1 Ohm output impedance is always more linear. It is theoretically better even with 600 Ohm headphones. However, in reality the difference will be almost imperceptible, since both 1 Ohm and 10 Ohm are both very small values compared to 600 Ohm. You will not hear the difference most likely.
