Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?
I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones. Looking for a gaming/content audio setup
Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

$10 Drop Coupon Email not sent?
Trying to buy some gear off Drop for the first time. I was told I would receive an email with a welcome to drop $10 off promo. I never received that email. Drop was able to send me emails for my login token and email for Password update. But for some reason the $10 off coupon was never sent to me.

Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

Firefox says that the CEntrance.com site has an invalid certificate, which wasn't a great start.
Using Win7 64bit, installed the CEntrance Universal driver (v7.4.18) like the instructions said, then plugged it in using the Massdrop USB cable. It wouldn't play anything but static until I restarted the machine.
The Control Panel says "DACport HD", btw. No mention of Slim. 352800 and 384000 Hz are listed in the control panel and selectable, but Foobar2000 just throws errors if those bitrates are selected. You can only select either 16bit or 32bit. The Slim does work with 192000Hz 32bit selected though, even though the specs on the CEntrance site said that it would only support up to 24bit.
I must say, the thing sounds great (and that's really what matters, right?). I'm using Beyerdynamic dt880 250 Ohms and Alpha Dog Pros. Very crisp, zero noise, great soundstage and beautifully clear. It's amazing the sound quality that you get for the price. It really shines with electronic music but has sounded great with anything I've thrown at it really. There's enough power for me even when set to low gain using either headphones.
It does get quite warm to the touch which I did expect. The case and hardware feels solid, with a nice metal case. I would prefer that the volume knob had a bit more resistance. It is printed with "DACport HD" in large letters. I find this slightly annoying as if I ever sell it, I'll have to explain to the buyer that it is actually not a DACport HD but a DACport Slim.
I just hope that CEntrance can sort the Driver problems out so others can enjoy what seems like a nice product. Also it doesn't feel like a super polished product when the driver and even the painted silkscreen on the case is for the HD, not the Slim.
Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.
Which if that was the case and you scored a HD for $100 I'd consider you a very lucky individual.
*Also I wanted to ask since someone mentioned the DACport HD where in the world are people hearing/listening to 384kHz resolution files or even 32bit that must be on some orchestral type level studio or something along those lines and probably the average listener isn't going to get near those resolution ranges right?
What is the max resolution the Tidal subscription service streams the more premium one with lossless audio?
I'm really liking my DACport HD, I'm sure the Slim sounds just as good.
