Has anyone tried this out with the HD600 or HD650s? I'm considering buying one (Already joined) to see how it performs with my HD600's.

wFPwnsI'm planning to gather a bunch of headphones, both ones I own and from fellow enthusiasts to put the slim through its paces. Confirmed headphones include the HD600, R70x, A900x, K7xx, K553, KSC75, DT880 250ohm, HE500, LCD2F, amperior/HD25, K612, K712, Takstar pro80 so far. Hopefully can get a few more but I don't have any iems to test with thus far as I'm not a iem guy. But the amperiors are 18ohm with very high sensitivity so that can give some idea of how the slim responds with low impedance and very high sensitivity headphones. Will also be testing line out performance into my speaker amp/speakers.

whatup69Do you have any other DAC's you will be comparing the Slim to as well or are you just doing it to test the range of the the Slim with various headphones?
I purchased the Slim on the very first drop but would still be interested on how it stacks up to other units if possible.

m4rkbr0wnI can get hold of a E10k to compare, as well as my own Audio GD NFB-15 but that's not really a fair or valid comparison. Ive tried many different amps/DACs though, and going by CEntrance's usual fare, it should be audibly transparent which is what you want. Let the transducer aka your headphones speak for themselves. So in that sense, it's moot to do 'sound' comparisons with the slim, I'm more interested in real world drivability across a range of different headphones as the class A headamp in the slim is above and beyond what any of its competitors offer. Since i dont really use my desktop headamp/DAC anymore as that's for DAC + source selector duties for my speaker amp, im looking to make the slim my sole headamp/DAC.

m4rkbr0wnI have both the Fiio E10/E10K and the Slim and I find the Slim to be noticeably better. I have listened with Shure SE215 and SRH840 and Sony MDR-V6. I don't have any hiss with the Slim regardless of high or low gain setting with IEMs or the the larger studios. Firmware 0026 with driver 7.4.18 on Windows 7 64-bit has been solid.
