Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?
I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones. Looking for a gaming/content audio setup
Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

$10 Drop Coupon Email not sent?
Trying to buy some gear off Drop for the first time. I was told I would receive an email with a welcome to drop $10 off promo. I never received that email. Drop was able to send me emails for my login token and email for Password update. But for some reason the $10 off coupon was never sent to me.

Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

I purchased two pair of these, and it happened with one speakers of each pair. One speaker of each set appeared to output no sound the first time I hooked them up.
Bummer! the first time. What the heck! when it also happened on the second pair.
After turning off the amp and re-connecting the cables, the "faulty" speaker then worked, but at a much lower volume than the other one. I had to put my ear close to that speaker to make sure it was working at all.
After turning off the amp and readjusting the cables further, and with some more time playing music, the volume of both sides now sounds even and properly centered. Normal, now. This happened with both pair I have. What the heck?
With both sets showing this problem, you might think it was a faulty speaker cable on one channel, which I thought as well. But when I swapped the speakers from left to right, and vice versa, the issue followed the speaker. This with both sets.
I don't know what is going on, but the issue seemed to have worked itself out. It does not inspire 100% confidence, though.
Aside from that, I think these speakers are great. A fantastic value given that each set comes with a substantial, well assembled pair of speaker cables.
The speakers look classy, the piano black finish is really well done. The speakers cable posts seem like they may be fragile if over tightened, so be mindful.
The sound is very good. I'm very happy with these. They replaced a pair of Mission 731i, which are a classic budget speaker from about 20 years ago. I'm driving them with a Sharp SD EX-111 digital receiver.
The Missions sound more balanced through the frequency range because of their larger size (deeper sounding bass) but are drier. The Master Class 2504 sounds more supple and involving in the midrange. I prefer the Master Class.
If you can, set them up in a near field configuration to take advantage of the improved imaging the coaxial tweeter makes possible. I can't do that with my setup, but imaging is a strength of the Master Class.
Overall, I highly recommend these speakers. I'd easily recommend them to anyone who is looking for a small bookshelf speaker with a supple, involving midrange and great imaging, but who does not need earth-shaking bass.
For the $149.99 price, it's a killer deal, especially considering the bonus speaker cable.
