PX is possible for a drop, although it seems that things that really move around here are below $200. PX would not be that low. It's a complex machine. I don't know if that's a deterrent...

CEntranceas nice as a drop would be for the px, i think you're right about the -200 range. a dedicated amp specd for these speakers would benefit more of us than a drop on the px. i'm holding out for your production of one so please keep us informed. if not, i'm probably looking towards the emotiva mentioned earlier in this post as its price point is more in line with my current budget.

CEntranceEchoing Sonido's thoughts on balanced input on a dedicated amp, it would be cool to have a super low noise floor "double monoblock" amp. Even better would be to be able to plug in the balanced output of the Hifi-M8 into this amp via super short xlr cable. Then one can have a portable and desktop solution that sounds great without duplicating components. I'm not sure if there would be technical limitations precluding that combo. I can see having one amp at my desk at work, another at home, and a HiFi-M8 in tow.
