Yup and the $13,499 HDMI cable is cheap.

Don't want to buy the cables move on, No need to Bash one of the companies who is willing to participate with the Massdrop community. If you are fine listening to MP3's from your I phone though wireless speakers then yeah cable quality probably will not matter. But if you are using lossless audio or still use CD's, Lp's and everything is done through cables and dacs and pre amps etc. There are a lot of connections and a lot of opportunities for interference. With cheaper cables bad connections are highly possible can introduce other anomalies as well. Looking for higher quality sound the details can matter. I have the masterclass speakers and these cables and the speakers are superb for their price point Even at MSRP. Do the cables improve the sound? I don't get Interference like I did with other cables So yes. The Build Quality is top Notch at this price well worth it. At MSRP It's a stretch but then again look at that HDMI Cable !!!!!!!!
Thank you Centrance for Being part of Massdrop. I am a Happy customer

bigro21If your only defense for their advertising scheme is to say there are other more overpriced items then it's failing, also to say iphone DAC is something to scoff at I suggest you read up more on the oil you purchase http://www.kenrockwell.com/apple/iphone-6-plus.htm
Use that with flac or apple lossless and your ears won't hear the difference, hell even measurements can't.
Staunch defenders of this type of advertising obviously have "more money than sense" and that's fine by me.. If you can do the mental gymnastics to justify $300 msrp that's your business but just because CEntrace has done some decent drops in the past doesn't mean that what they are doing here is right.
bigro21Much appreciated!

GhettoRiceThe I phone in the word of phones is ridiculously priced considering phones half the price provide the same functions. People pay top dollar and if they think its worth its good for them it their money, they can spend it how they please. The Iphone is obviously a well made product. And I am happy I phone has a good measuring dac for that price I would expect nothing less. I had an iPhone briefly and was not terribly impressed, it was not for me I could not see it being worth the cost .
I have a box of cheaper cables and there are even some monoprice cables in there I had various issues such as loose connections or some did not provide sufficient shielding. when audio or video cables run near power cables you can get anomalies such as hums or even static on video signals. I have installed audio professionally and have had to replace lower quality cables with better ones many times to remedy those anomalies. I recently had to do this again because the mono price cables are decent but they did not shield well. I now run mostly Blue jeans Cables for interconnects and with my Masterclasses these "snake oil" cables and the hum is completely eliminated. I don't think there i a point in 13k cables but hat person who has put 100k in equipment may.
The point of the 13k cable was to illustrate that In the AV world the MSRP of the Centrance Cables was on the low end. For the most part the complaints i have read is about the price. If you don't want to buy it and can't justify the price that's great and every one has the right to spend their money how they feel. But if that's the only argument as to why its not worth it and how horrible centrance is then sorry That's failed. No need to bash a company that has no obligation to participate with mass drop just because you can't justify it. Obviously People requested to have the cables and centrance once again participated.

bigro21Well said. I too have professional experience , doing audio installations (as well as being a 'sales engineer ' and trainer) I can recall, sitting though a " sales demonstration" by Dr. Dave Wilson of Houston, Texas and His beautiful " trophy wife". The Lady could replace Any 'hostess', on the Price is Right ! During the Demo; She spent most of Her time serving Wine & Cheese . As part of the $35, 000, Wilson Audio Modular speaker system, purchase price: NOT Only would you get the Heart Specialist, himself, to do the installation. But the Wife, would accompany him, to repeat her Wine & Cheese duties. How's that, for an Installation of a Lifetime ??? ;)
