True story. Years back, I bought some high end cables from a seller on audiogon.com market place. They were touted as high-end OFC helix speaker cables. The seller indicated they were high-end cable killers but was not charging a mint. i think I paid maybe $85 for a 10' stereo set plus ship.
Well I'll I got them plugged them in (replaced some audioquest indigo which were prettext expensive. I recall paying around $15 a foot for those. No audible difference. Then I was at Home Depot and saw some extension cable that looked 100% the same & was like 17$ for a 25' run. I bought it. Took it home and compared. Same cable. emailed he seller and he admitted it was the same cable. He didn't refund the difference.
Ive spent hundreds on speaker cable runs. Never ever been able to tell the difference. back then I had dual mono blocks and Martin logans. Wire, to me is snake oil. Belden is just fine.
