Is there any benefit to 3.1 listening? Would these make movie viewing significantly better than my current 2.1? I use A5rx's in a 2.1 music listening.
Is there an A4 in the works? Just wondering.. so new to the speaker game.

RochRx7For movies encoded in a surround format a phantom center speaker can sound just as realistic as a real speaker with the proper set up, acoustical environment, and signal source. But all of the proper conditions are not present 100% of the time, so it's best to go ahead and use a real center speaker. I always use a center speaker for audio encoded in surround, and always use stereo (2.1) speaker set up for audio encoded in stereo.
I also use the A5rx-c's as my main speakers and have several A1rx-c's for smaller rooms, great value with all of the Chanes. Just bought 2 of these A3rx-c's to update my mom's system.
With Jon Chane you never know for sure what is in the works for new speakers. There is alot of speculation on the official Chane website for several different new models. I am holding my breath waiting for a proposed new center speaker that better matches the A5's which contain the newer tweeter & midrange combo.

gstupakThanks for the input! I've been hearing a lot of speculation about a new center.. it might not even be available until next year though huh? I've got 6 days left to decide on this drop or wait patiently.. lol.. ugh.
