I've read through most of posts in this discussion and still have a question on how these sound. No doubt the price / performance point on this is outstanding, so I want in. I have a Roksan Kandy int. Amp. Its pretty forward and bright, despite 10 years of usage. Are these guys Bright, forward, or more laid back.? Or pretty neutral, which is my guess, which is perfect? Also, anyone using them in a 2.1 set up (two speakers) as opposed to 3.1 (three speakers)? I've only got 2 channel amps (the Roksan or an older Creek), it's all i can afford at the moment. It's a 10X12 bedroom, I've got a sub, 50% 50% HT Music usage. I don't mean to sound overly techie, but good speakers and a good amp will really reveal these qualities - its a little bit of "careful, you might get what you asked for"........
coolerkingChane uses an XBL2 midwoofer set and a fairly large planar tweeter in heavy cabinets - lower distortion, higher available output. Tweeters rotate 90 degrees to allow vertical setup for main channels. Chane's goal is a true alternative to commoditized Big Box sound. Higher-grade crossovers are carefully tuned to allow excellent dynamic envelope. The sound is commonly termed neutral to laid-back than that usual aggressive sound from cheap products at this price level. A Home Theater Shack reviewer and experienced user installed a 7.x Chane A2rx-c system in a dedicated space and hit them with a lot of power - he reports quite positive results. This may sound expected, but if you find your rig is forward/bright, this speaker should be an excellent match. At just under 90dB and a true 8 ohm load with benign phase angle, they'll love 125w of high current amplifier.

JonLaneJust one more reason to love this company! Active in the community answering questions with a tech level that matches the questions. Bought one of the A2rx-c's last time around, signed up for two more with this drop! Absolutely love these speakers, you have to spend almost 4x as much to even start touching the sound quality from other brands.
Thanks for everything you do Jon!
