Sewn, painted, burnished, and buffed by hand, the Chester Mox #53 bifold wallet is made of Horween Chromexcel horse front leather. Even while maintaining a slim profile, the wallet offers plenty of space for cards, bills, and more. In addition to a horizontal pocket and two vertical card slots, it’s equipped with two hidden pockets to keep folded cash. The Chester Mox logo is hot-stamped with matte gold foil.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of color: black, color #8, dark brown, natural, or navy.
Chromexcel is a chrome-tanned leather and the original pull-up leather by Chicago-based Horween Leather Company, which has been producing Chromexcel for more than a century. Horse front tends to be slightly more resistant to moisture than cowhide, and is renowned for its strength, durability, depth of color, and smooth hand feel.
Perhaps best known for its quality saddle-stitching, Chester Mox hand-pricks every product using Blanchard iron prickers, then hand-sews each piece using two needles and an awl. Because each stitch is created with a knot, saddle-stitching ensures that even if one thread is compromised, the rest of the stitching retains its structural integrity. The method dates back hundreds of years, and the resulting stitch is far stronger than anything machine-made.
