Bought these on the color 8 drop last year, the wear on the two boots has been drastically different. The leather they used can be suspect as there was a ton of loose grain. The left boot (the bad one) has a crease on the front of the toe that is really sad to look at and the upper was so loose on the outside it looks like the leather is peeling. They need some Venetian Leather Balm asap out of the box. I didn't as I didn't know any better but if I did it I could have probably saved the top (did it about a month after owning). The right boot looks amazing no major issues and wear has been pretty standard for chromexcel. If I received two of the right boots I would buy again instantly.
I am a 11.5 and went TTS (45) and it fits with a little room wearing my biggest wool socks. If I did it again I would go down to a 11 (44). I am a 11 in Vibergs and 11.5 in OSB. The leather quality was much better on the other two but you pay more. These boots are also much lighter vs the other two.
Past all the wear issues the look of the boots is amazing. The #8 with the olive laces are a great combo. I went with the Eton sole and I get a ton of complements. Buy them because they look cool. Do not buy them thinking they are GYW and will last a lifetime. I would think about ordering them again just so I can get a better fit and 200 seems like a better option when playing the chromexcel lotto.
I will see if I can get some pictures tonight when I am home.
EDIT: I forgot to mention after reading the description. The foot bed is very comfortable as it has cushion and arch support. The inside will stain you socks over the first few wears with a yellow tint that I could never really get out, use crappy socks to start. This was the only boot I had any green mold issues with on the front tips of the cedar shoe trees and boots.
Here are some pictures (left boot first)
