Chopard’s Pompeii Collection showcases designs and images from the Italian city’s excavated mosaics. This pen’s cap is modeled after a mosaic unearthed at the Villa Diomedes, while the barrel displays a hand-painted portrait of a Pompeian couple that dates back to a fresco from the Villa di Giulia Felice. In the portrait, Terentius Neo holds a scroll while his wife, richly dressed with gold-threaded hair, holds a stylus and a writing tablet. Twist the bottom of the pen for two other portraits of the couple. The .925 sterling silver barrel boasts an intricate grain d’orge pattern, and the screw-on cap is appointed with red cubic zirconia. This pen was produced in limited quantities and individually serialized.
