the instructional video shows how different this watch is from regular quartz movements. It looks like the crown functions as an input switch but doesn't have a direct linkage with the hands (the hands don't move or set like a regular quartz and hands can move independently during setting).

lobsterI have this and the attesa model of the same type. The hands can be set independently, but mine just syncs every night so haven't had the chance to change anything apart from when i first got it. when you first get it, remember to charge it for a while.

limbuSeconding this - pretty good insights right here! The watch will arrive factory new, so the capacitor will have no power. Put it in direct sunlight for at least 30 minutes for it to start ticking. A double tick will indicate that the power is still low. After that, the watch should be good to go and it's very much a "set it and forget it" type of watch.

limbuI am interested in this but I live in Australia and I am pretty sure that Atomic watches do not work in Australia. Where do you live? Nice watch in any case

PenceyPrepI live in NY, US. I live pretty far from the radio station and in really bad weather it may not get signal but my Attesa model receives with no problems.
