I bought the tan version over at BHQ when this drop was canceled and i kind of wish i didn’t. Don’t get me wrong, i feel it has the same build quality I’ve come to love from WE and other Civivi models like the Praxis and Backlash however, this one looks like a toy, at least in the tan version. The handle material looks molded (spoiler, it is) which to me, just looks cheap. To its credit, the flipper action is typical WE, a bit stiff at first, then slowly breaks in. This one has a solid snap when opening and the liner lock is easier on the thumb than the Backlash. Maybe another color wont look as cheap as the tan but don’t let that stop you from buying this solid knife. I wont mind making this my beater, or one hell of a steak knife.

It looks like the blade went on a diet. Too bad that it did so independently of the handle.

"To open it, use the flipper tab and it will swing the blade open with little applied force." Curious if that's a subtle way of saying this one has a weaker detent? Still can't get behind the looks of a huge handle and skinny blade

I’ve had the Courser for several months now and with my XL hands I really like the thickness in the handle. Feels great and am loving the longer blade with zero blade play BTW.

The baklash and praxis are great pieces of both which i own and love. F+f is great along w the action. the budget steel actually performs on par w vg10 and is not a concern to me. The naja is the 3rd release and looks promising also. All 3 are $42. This model is thicker handled and more pricey. It does come w a nice ti clip and an"upgrade" to vg10. So this is what you get for the extra $25. Thats fine but The original 3 releases are the best buys imo for WE budget knives and i hope they lean towards that direction for future civivi releases. I would bet they are their best sellers as well in the civivi line. I just dont care for the coursers design. The aquila looks promising though.

I just received this knife from other retailer. The handle is THICK. Each side of the handle is almost 2x as thick as the blade. For how narrow the kwaiken style knife profile is, it's unnecessarily thick. Returning it....

Blade hq has it for $68 plus $3 shipping delivered in 3 to 5 days. I really want to buy stuff from massdrop but if I can get find it for a few dollars more and I have it in 5 to 7 days instead of a month or more I rather spend a few dollars more.
