what about a4 size for rhodia or clairfontaine?

Bristol27It's the same paper in both (Clairefontaine makes it), Rhodia has more texture though and I prefer clothbound notebooks.

monoclineGlue and cloth. For the most part binding is great. I've ran through dozens of these notebooks and only one had issue with binding. Coincidentally that same notebook also had issues with paper, so I have attributed that to poor storing conditions and have since changed supplier. I am yet to run into the same problem again.

monoclineI don't think you'll be disappointed. It's really good paper and for the price it can hardly be beat. My current choice of supplier is CultPens.
