Free shipping, no wait, a few bucks less at Goulet Pen Co., Anderson Pens and Pen Boutique... Didn't check Blick Art. They also have great prices.

Great notebooks but they can easily be found cheaper online and without the wait. If you have issues with pages falling out or paper feathering, change your supplier, it's not Clairefontaine's fault most likely. Notebooks have to be kept in proper environment and not some musky warehouse.
Agreed. Only the 10-pack price is cheaper that other sites. But then there's the wait time...
I'll keep buying from my usual source, because I can get the amount I need cheaper, as I need them, and will get them within a few days, rather than weeks or even months from now.
Owlclaw@Owlclaw - The price of 34.99 for 5, makes them 6.99 each. They can be purchased to on line pen stores for 6.95 or less. At that price per , notebook, would put them in the A5 size.
You are correct, the image is of the smaller pocket-sized notebook which is; 48 sheets (96 pages) of 90g, 7mm ruled.
I have the A5 and it is 96 sheets... 192 pages counting front and back of each page.
The Description states that this is the A5 size 1951 clothbound, which comes as 96 sheets (192 pages) of 90g, 8mm ruled paper.
I imagine they used the smaller version for photographing them.. easier to fit all the colors in a pic using the smaller ones :)
Also - @TomaCzar you can order the purple notebook at some stores if you’re looking to be sure you can that color.
(While checking prices, I noticed Goulet Pen sells them by color of your choice)
Hmmmm.... you MAY recieve a Raspberry colored notebook, which we've chosen not to present a picture of, if you buy the ten-pack. The chance of winning the mystical unicorn-tongue colored raspberry notebook is non-zero, winners will be notified at time of package opening, and offer valid for a limited time and only where legal. Massdrop reserves the right to do whatever it wants without notification at any time. May the odds be ever in your favor.
about to jump on this until I noticed the idiotic Dec26th ship date.
It really is too bad that MD keeps shooting themselves in the foot like this going into the holiday season.
As far as the shipping price. How much do you think 5 notebooks weigh? It's not going to be cheap.
arellano81366If the notebooks actually have 96 sheets, and you live in the USA, this is actually a very good deal (paper is heavy, and shipping on that many notebooks would normally cost a lot). This is why I'm kind of wondering whether that's a typo and the notebooks are 96 pages/48 sheets, not 96 sheets/192 pages.
helpfulThe paper is NOT the same as Rhodia. It's much smoother and noticeably heavier. While Exacompta owns both Clairefontaine and Rhodia now, they used to be different companies entirely, and the different brands are still made in their original separate factories [EDIT: not the same factories, but the same machines] and retain their own character. The exception is Rhodia's "R" premium line, which was launched after Exacompta acquired the brand. That line, and that line only, is the same paper as ivory-colored Clairefontaine paper. Both brands have great paper, so it comes down to personal preference. I personally find Rhodia an excellent paper, and I love it and use it all the time, but it's not luxurious to write on the way Clairefontaine paper is.

crosshatchThanks for the additional info. I thought they shared paper across all lines of products.
