It's cheaper for me to buy this bundle at Anderson Pens. Sorry Massdrop.
By the way, I would just add that anything Clairefontaine makes is my favorite paper, hands-down! There isn't a (fountain) pen that won't write better on it, or an ink that won't look better on it. If you are a paper junkie, this is China White (if you catch my drift...)
Shipping to Canada $27.75. That is more than the lowest price on the drop. Really Massdrop?

How on Earth???.... It's cheaper to ship to the Netherlands!

Well I suppose you could always buy it in Canada in the first place, eh?
You know, might save you a few Loonies on shipping, eh?!

Out of curiosity, what is that delicious blue ink shown in the writing sample?

I believe it's Edelstein Topaz.
Actually, if you look at the sizes and binding options, Goulet is NOT cheaper. Plus there is still shipping. You save a tiny bit of money. In my opinion, worth the wait since they're something I use regularly.

$38.54 for me to get through Goulet.
Yep, same set up at Goulet costs the same and you don't have to wait longer. Come on Massdrop, once upon a time it was about getting deals by bulk purchases. Now most of the time you're just like any other online store except with longer mailing times.
$9 S/H? Come on people!
Shocked at the $9 shipping cost--puts it much closer to the "41.99" MSRP, which I never pay.
Skipping this one...
Yeah you can a better deals on these through amazon.. http://amzn.to/2waJ0Q5
especially if you have prime
What I don't like about ClaireFontaine's version of French-ruled notebooks is how bright the purple lines are. They are very distracting. I have other French-ruled notebooks, such as by Super Conquerant, and those have less "in your face" lining.

Thanks for your feedback! We'll definitely have to take a look at some other brands, including the one you mentioned.
Why are these so expensive in the U.S.? Clairefontaine Notebooks are like 3€ in Germany.
teschi
Because we aren't in Germany or any other part of Europe where it'd be cheaper to purchase. Not sure what the Euro to Dollar exchange rate is, but $7 doesn't seem unreasonable if you want a European product like this.
Are the clothbound notebooks perfect bound or sewn in signatures?
Just got 4 of them for 30 https://www.gouletpens.com/clairefontaine-classic-french-ruled-wirebound-notebook/p/C68141

The clothbound (96 sheet) model is $9.50 @Goulet. So, yeah, comes out about the same as this drop. If you haven't tried the clothbounds, I'd encourage it. So much more paper!
