I don't don't, for the life of me, why they don't halve the amount of pads and add envelopes?! The combos on here seem to be quite short-sighted. You don't have to sell me on the stationary, but at this price with no envelopes, I'LL Pa$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Behike54Thanks @Behike54 -- That's a great idea, we can ask about offering envelopes in a bundle or as an optional add-on for similar drops in the future.
MixelsThe writing samples were done with a dip pen and calligraphy nib, so there definitely is way more ink on the paper than there normally would be with a fountain pen. That being said, I was pretty surprised at the amount of feathering with the Eclat de Saphir ink.
For another perspective, here's a quick shot of fountain pen writing on the blank Triomphe paper:
Is the paper in the stationary pad the same as what's used in a clothbound notebook? (If so, what would stop one simply from trimming the binding off of an A4 notebook—roughly the same price as the stationery pad but double the page count—as crude as that would be?)
learningsquareIt is a different paper. The Triomphe paper is a bit smoother (probably due to more coating) and has a different feel to it when writing.
Mediocre pads, very expensive for the size/quality of paper/number of pages(50 iirc), but they fit nicely into CF stationery envelopes which is nice. Regardless of how nice the envelopes are I'll never buy these pads again.
