Claude Bernard Classic Open Heart Automatic Watch

i don’t think there’s a such watch in existence. Its not necessary, really, and the portion of potential buyers isn’t worth the effort for makers to design watches aimed solely at lefty’s What I just said was all speculation except for the fact the placement of the crown on this watch is not for left handed consumers, but rather designed that way as an added benefit of making the crown more easily accessible and added comfort from the crown placed in a manner that won’t rub up against the back of one‘s hand while wearing. I have a Claude Bernard as of last week... its the first watch I’ve owned since I lost a sentimental Rolex I refused to replace until I could either afford to replace it, or until I happpened across another suitable replacement that Wouldnt feel like a huge downgrade. My Rolex was the air king, the most basic and inexpensive models they offer at around $2,000 retail. Im not ready to spend 2,000 on a watch, but found these and thought the style which is perfect for formal and casual wear. I was always willing to replace the Rolex with another brand if one apppealed to me, but nothing less than a Swiss automatic movement would do. I actually like this watch more than the rolex. It suits me better in general and after wearing it a week, making note of the +- Second offset, I’m convinced this watch is every bit the quality of my Rolex which required routine maintenance which took up to 6 months and cost almost half the value of the watch. I havent determined the Maintenance requirements of this yet, but I know CB calls for 24 month servicr checks with 5 year interval full service and movement adjustments. I just hope they’re much more efficient in returning the watch in a timely manner, and that the service isn’t anywhere near what Rolex charged. ** edit: oh, and my accuracy measurements have turned out very impressive. Ive noticed if I wear the watch to bed and throughout the day, ive found almost no discernible time differential. If at all, maybe a fraction of a second when timing it with my satellite Or gps times given on my MacBook, a PC Laptop, and my iPhone. Today makes day 3 with absolutely no noticeable delay or gain. That’s a good indication of the craftsmanship in these. the frst few days where I took it off at night did yield a noticeable time difference by abolit 30 seconds fast over the course of 3 days. I think thats pretty good considering the many variables that can affect accuracy such as magnetism.

Claude Bernard is a famous swiss watch company, just not as well known as those belonging to the swatch group such as Hamilton and Omega. Lots of Swiss movements have had a open heart movements like that before and after the Jazzmaster, so by that logic the jazzmaster openheart must be a ripoff of something, but thats not the case at all. The Jazzmaster is a great watch just like this Claude Bernard is a great watch.
