dimaas opposed to what? Out of all the removable USB types, Micro is the best, second to only the newest Type C. Until then, there's a reason why phones use microUSB and not mini or anything else.
ez12aTechnically, if you want to nitpick about it, USB-A has the highest insertion cycle rating. Seriously, though, not a huge difference on your keyboard. I think he thought that it was microusb on the computer side.
PigmonkeYSpecs on Type A are for 1,500, vs. 10,000 for MicroUSB. Either way yeah it doesn't matter as I don't think i've ever had a mouse or keyboard fail from too many insertions. In any case, it's a bit of a hyperbole to call it a keyboard design failure.
HeliumBalloonMicrousb is very gentle. It's okay for phones, but I see port and cable breaking aftes 3rd or so drop. I drop my keyboards at least 10x a year because I keeb moving around between flightstick m+kbd or gamepad or just taking keyboard on the lap for a more comfortoble position. This keyboard with microusb would not last me a month! I have Ducky and it has a very solid construction, still like new after 1 year.
dimaReally it just comes down to how well the keyboard is built and apparently how much it's abused. Rosewill had a huge problem with Mini USB Type B ports breaking off into the keyboard from just normal usage. For the record, i have a Filco, Ducky, and Novatouch (this drop's kb) and have had no issues with Mini or Micro type connections.
IIRC someone disassembled the Novatouch and the USB port is not mounted directly to the PCB, meaning it can be replaced if the port breaks without having to solder.
