Why is this the ugly old model and not the current model Quickfire Rapid-i?

TartanThe rapid-i is a completely different model, with backlighting.

TartanYour point is moot. It's like asking why they're not selling the Novatouch over this, simply because you prefer it.
Yeah, because they're two completely different items.

MeddleYou seem to be unaware that the Novatouch is a completely different kind of keyboard.
The Quickfire Rapid-i is the newer version of the Quickfire Rapid (fact). It is also much better looking (opinion, although extremely popular) and has more features (fact).
I highlighted facts and opinions because you can't tell them apart, in addition to your ignorance of the facts.

TartanMassdrop seems to occasionally work as an outlet for selling stocks of products that don't seem to be moving through their usual avenues.
Also, in my /opinion/, backlighting is not as desired. Some others in the community feel the same way. The Rapid-i is a newer keyboard, but not necessarily better. I'd rather have this keyboard than a Quickfire-i because I'd rather not pay the premium for back lighting features. Also, if someone is buying a keyboard with Cherry MX Green switches, they're probably going to change out the keycaps, so aesthetics aren't really a concern.

TartanWhy are you so upset? In no way did Meddle ever confuse facts/opinions, he's just stating that the item of the drop is the Quickfire Rapid and not the Quickfire Rapid-i.
If you really want want the Quickfire Rapid-i with green switches then buy it elsewhere. And if you really want it you'll pay more than what's being asked here for the model, which according to your statement, has less features.
What you want just isn't here, so look elsewhere.

emc2I am not the one upset. Meddle is upset because I asked a question he had no answer to, so he felt the need to aggro on me instead of keeping silent. He did confuse facts (newer model) with opinions (which model is more likeable) and he also confused the Quickfire Rapids with the Novatouch, which uses different switches entirely. Compare his trolling to the actual on-point and insightful reply provided by sacratoy (thanks!).
Your attitude and need to assert yourself (your reply is just "if you don't like it gtfo") is also unreasonable and angry, and of course entirely pointless. Compare to sacratoy's reply (thanks again!).

TartanNobody's trolling here, least of not Meddle.
Also, my statement wasn't written that way, but you're free to read it in whichever way you desire (complacent vs aggressive, or anything in between).
You'll have to try a lot harder if your attempt is to ruffle people's feathers here when they just state that what you're looking for isn't what's listed on the drop here. It's not working here.

TartanI never said the Rapid-i wasn't newer.
All I said was that it's different, and unless you really want flashy lights, you're better off with the Rapid.
Plus, this one can easily be made to be fully programmable through the use of a Frosty Flake replacement controller.

MeddleA graceful strawman, but you are still trying to troll on a topic that has long been closed (why?). Someone gave an actual answer, if you didn't notice.

TartanYou should look up the definition of trolling real quick.
You're trying to stir shit in the comments on Massdrop. Let that sink in for a moment before replying.
