There has been many complaints about this product and I don't think it really deserves as much criticism as it does. Mine was close to perfect. Assembly was a breeze the quality is premium, and I had no issues with hole sizes. The wood finish is great. So far, I haven't been able to get the wood finish to come off. It looks nice on my desk and does what it's supposed to. No complaints from a happy customer, although take this with a grain of salt as numerous others have complained about quality control.
As a side note, it's perfect for HD6XX and HD650s because of the groove in their headbands.

b_sandI got 2 but only 1 was capable of brin assembled. As with others, that one had improperly placed holes and they were te wrong size. I like the one that worked out though.

Cannot get the cocobolo wood on the stand. Holes are small.

Just about there! We've been in touch with the vendor regarding the group's order and they've let us know that they are still working to gather and pack the group's order for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group again as soon as everything is en route to us!

Awaiting confirmation! We are still in contact with the vendor and just awaiting updated shipment estimates from them. We have a call scheduled first thing tomorrow morning and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect these in our warehouse.

Same here. Bought 4 pieces. Opened two and I am unable to install the wood. All four metals did not fit the hole in the wood. Did anybody were able to assemble the headphone stand properly? Any advice? Also, one of the plastic has wood stains on it. Is it safe to use it for headphones?

This product is junk. As mentioned by others, the stain bleeds off the wood. I wouldn't put any headphones on it. One of the riser poles is missing a bevel (or the wood has one hole too small). Either way, the net result is the stand can't even be assembled. The best part is that Massdrop customer service is unresponsive to inquiries re: this problem. Fantastic!

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Cocobolo Wood Headphone Stand and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 12/21.
