Interested to hear about the build quality of this keyboard, given in the past some complained of flawed quality. What does the owners or past owners have to say?

Devastator007I own two, a green and a brown, and am in for a clear. The two I own have been rock solid. I use one 5 to 6 hours a day five days a week going on 2 years now. I liked the home one enough to buy one for the office, which is really saying something! The other I use regularly at home but not to the extent of my work one. If necessary I am confident I could kill a grizzly with it and then continue to type with it with no ill effects.

stoutreaderAny comment on the so called pinging noise which appears to be common with Code keyboards? Thanks.

QuacklesThe code has a metal backplate that might intensify the the sound a little when you bottom out the keys. If you have sensitive ears, you might consider o-rings .

DjangiUnfortunately, o-rings don't exactly reduce the pinging noise. It's somewhat noticeable during the upstroke on my WASD V2 with clears and o-rings (which is basically the non-backlit version of the Code). I would assume that the ping is quieter on lighter switches.

ext3rNI must admit that I've gotten used to it. Used a Coolermaster Quickfire Ultimate with browns before this. Compared to that, my code is pretty quiet.

DjangiIt's not really when you bottom out but more on the way back up the spring resonates with the metal plate. It happens when you're pressing the key and letting go quickly. Try using as little force to actuate and then bring it back up slowly. You will notice there is little to no ping. The only way that I know of to get rid of the ping is to put some dampening foam in there.
