Corretion: Codenames: Pictures is not an expansion! The cards are not the same size, and the table layout is different (5x5 for the original, 5x4 for Pictures). I suppose you could attempt to mix them, but I think it would be weird, and you would need to grab a Spymaster card from the correct layout.

I haven't had a chance to play that version yet, but several of my friends have and they all like it much better, though I think they are more visual people and I am.
cassidoodledooWe own both. Honestly, I think I prefer the original, but I really love word games, so I may not be the best judge. Pictures is still tons of fun though.
DansonicI own the original and can verify it is both quick to pick up and fun. It's one of the few games that family members ask me to bring when there's a gathering.
