I have owned the 4 inch aluminium handle model for several months and love it to death! It has become my go-to knife and my daily EDC! I've been collecting knives for 30 odd years and can't understand why I hadn't given this thing if beauty a spin before. Besides the obvious tactical flavouring, I find this knife perfect for ripping through boxes, opening mail, light prying, cutting tape, rope, wire, food prep the list goes on. It is the perfect modern urban EDC

Not much of a utility knife. Meant to be introduced to someone's vital organs. Marketed for that purpose. Folders aren't great stabbing implements, but marketing and reality seldom meet anyway these days. Daggers (this is a folding dagger) are lousy slicing implements, and most of what you do with a pocket knife involve slicing cuts. Cold Steels usually are overbuilt -- they'll take a beating. And although S35VN is probably the super steel that enchants me the least, this is a good price for a 4" S35VN blade. But in realistic terms if you're in the stabbing business you probably work with a fixed knife anyway, and also in realistic terms you probably don't buy knives from Drop or read any of this. So kind of a five knuckle shuffle, this knife. I have the large Luzon, and kind of wonder if the large Ti-Lite is just as ridiculous...

I'm not quite sure what the attraction is for this knife. I suppose the emphasis on combat readiness and looks like it can be quickly deployed using either the thumb stud or maybe the bolsters allow it to operate as a flipper too. Either way, it can be had on eBay with the higher grade 4" steel blade for a few bucks less with free shipping and probably no tax added unless you're from NY.

INTELLIGENDAI can say i own this knife in AUS8 and its one of my favorite knives. Less than 48 hours ago i took it completely apart for cleaning. The action had got a little stiff. When tearing apart you cant help but notice how well its built. I think a lot of people are drawn to this knife due to its classic stiletto properties. It has one of the best non ball bearing actions of any knife i have seen and the lock up is solid and dependable. Probably the only complaint i can make is the beveled spine of the knife makes it almost impossible to sharpen it with the lansky guided system. Last night i found a 6 inch model at a really great price and was kicking around picking it up. But i love s35vn so im a bit torn. I cant think of anyone that has held the one i currently have and didnt love it. If anyone has even a slight interest in it i say pick it up. I believe you will be happy with your purchase. But I'd buy it on Amazon. The identical knife with aluminum scales and S35vn blade is 71 bucks and you will have it in 2 days if you are a prime member.

TxpipelnrI have a couple of stiletto knives myself but I did buy them years ago. I can see the fascination for the design. I always have had an interest in knives from collection of classic Case knives to combat or rapid deployment knives. Mostly, seem to currently prefer Two Sun flipper designs because of the quality of the materials and construction plus the smooth operation and sharp blades. That, and they can be had at reasonable prices off of eBay but can become rather expensive too. However, I must admit being somewhat surprised to hear non ceramic ball bearing deployment working so smoothly. Usually, you have work those and adjust them an awful lot before they smooth out. I also tend to go with eBay on the purchases because of the freedom from taxes and shipping fees without needing any special membership even if the wait time for delivery can amount to weeks.

This knife certainly looks like a gentleman’s dagger. Very stabbitty.

Once again, Cold Steel doesn't fail to deliver the cringe 🙄 lol Opening scene of the video on their site for this knife is showing you can stab a man (ballistic dummy with blood packs) 5 times per second in the stomach with this blade, before turning his throat to ribbons, and then poke the brain through the eye sockets for good measure 😕 Seriously, does any other company specifically market knives in a way that highlights their tire slashing ability (just in case they try to run), and show off how you can cut your way in through someone's metal garage door so you can kill them in their own home? Fuckin' hell man.... they actually have a few pieces I like, but I just can't bring myself to buy any more. I feel like having had a body in your freezer is a prerequisite to working there

Just an FYI. I have both of the non-aluminum handle versions and wanted to point out that these can be waved open pretty successfully. It does not catch quite as well as an Emerson opener or the Cold Steel knives with the disc openers but works most of the time if you pull it against your pocket as you withdraw.

This is a minor chemist’s quibble, but the name would seem to imply that titanium is involved in some way. It isn’t. It’s actually Al-Lite.

One must remember there are 2 different blades with this knife. The original one that I own is made with AUS 8A steel it could be this knife that is going cheaper on Ebay. I bought mine about 18 months ago for $35 but obviously the S35VN is a much better steel

I couldn't agree more. D2 is fine with me as long as the rest of the materials are up to par, the design makes sense and operates smoothly.

Most steels used in knives are perfectly fine and functional. But, like in every circle of collectors of anything, snobbery abounds. Steel snobs are simply part of the knife scene. I think it just gives some people something to do. And, really, the only question that matters is if the knife has a left-handed version, or just the wrong one.
