I hear the recoil is high when you flip it open.

OneLoveThis knife does Not "flip". There is a triangular thumbstud that doubles as an opener when you pull it from your pants pocket. Much like an Emerson.

cm42meBrah, get a dictionary.
Flip: a : to cause to turn and especially to turn over ,flipped the car, flipping the pages of a book. b : to move with a small quick motion, flip a switch

OneLoveWhen talking knives "flip" Generally constitutes a flipper-style opening mechanism. The Cold Steel AK-47 has no such mechanism. Also, there is no recoil. That is generally only a factor in automatic knives.

OneLoveI think the point is that this knife does not qualify as a "flipper." It has no flipper tab and no open assist. It is a triad lock, a variant of a back lock, and the spring may be stiffer than some users desire. Additionally, the triad lock requires the lock release to be pressed further than most lock backs. There is no recoil as you may experience with assisted knives.

OneLoveMaybe you're the one that needs a dictionary because there is no such word as, "Brah". If you're going to ask a knife question, most people in the knife community are more than happy to help and offer some good advice. I was merely trying to explain that this knife, one of which I've owned for over 10 years with the original aluminum scales, not G10, is not classified as a flipper. It does not flip. "Recoil" can exist on on some knife types, automatics can open very hard for example, so excuse me if I did not get your sorry excuse for a gun joke on a knife forum, and while there are knives categorized as flippers, there is no such knife categorized as a "flicker". Pretend that I didn't offer any help.

cm42mecm42me, (and OneLove, please pardon me both for meddling) I get where you were coming from. The information you offered was spot on. I think OneLove was trying to soften his comment about getting a dictionary by addressing you as "Brah," which is kind of short for "brother" or "friend" in Hawaii (it has migrated to So Cal and other places as well). I might become defensive as well if feeling slighted, but I think OneLove's overall intentions were to be lighthearted, not hostile.
OneLoveIs this 7.62 x 39? Or is this the AK-74 in .556?😁
cm42meI think onelove was having some fun, a joke, it was funny captain serious.

TortoiseThunderIf you bother to look, those comments were from 17 weeks ago. I was trying to help someone who I thought had a genuine question. I was not the only one who didn't get the "joke" and the issue was dropped. Way to dig up the past.. TortoiseThunder, instigate much?
cm42meHahaha for me it wasn't 17 weeks ago, for me it was like an hour ago, now run along and have a great weekend! And yes I do extensive research on each and every item I buy or decide not to buy. Do you?
