I have the drop point version of this knife and use it for work. The XHP blade is pretty great. Super sharp and keeps a great edge.
This seems to be a good price for this knife.
Although this is a great performing knife, I have to say it's not one that has captured my heart.
That's because it feels to me like a good design, but it almost feels like it was designed by an OEM designer as part of a knife portfolio that was then made available to a knife company to pick and choose from.
It seems to me that while the overall design of the knife is good, the way the scales are executed feels really utilitan and passionless.
They are very plain, characterless, flat scales that make the knife feel somewhat wanting. Like someone designed the basic shape and passed it to the next department to finish off. And that department went with the least costly option for the scales. It feels like there was no passion or strong ownership in the process, and the knife feels a bit plain because of it.
Now, I don't know if that's actually what happened. But out of the several dozen pocket knives I own, this is one of the few I feel this way about.
Having said that, it's a very good knife, especially the blade, and has become my go to work knife. Highly recommended for a great user knife.
I'd seriously consider getting another one if the plain edge clip point were still available.

K.T.NYou can't expect fancy machining or finish work on a sub $50 knife. Typically if you want a knife to 'wow' you, you're going to pay for it.

buellerGood point about the price point.
It shouldn't be a deal breaker by any means. Just something to keep in mind.
It is a great deal on a good CTS-XHP blade, no doubt.
